Dear Friends and Benefactors of the Mission of Don Bosco, 

Another year filled with God’s blessings is coming to a close. As I look back I cannot help but gratefully acknowledge that this has been a year of copious blessings. We have been blessed because of you!  

It is most heartening to know that you are with us at this time of the year when we strive to bring joy and cheer to those entrusted to our care. The season of Christmas evokes dreams of peace and joy, of homeliness and tender love and these are the sentiments that we strive most to provide in our institutions that serve the poor and the marginalized. Their difficult situations draw them to us because they know that in our institutions they will find that “someone cares”. Be sure that whatever we can do to express this loving care is made possible through the thoughtful cooperation of good friends like you.                 

When Christmas comes around, we always think of those friends and benefactors whose kindness and generosity have touched so many lives. Your thoughtful concern, your care and love have melted many a frozen heart because they have experienced God’s blessings through friends like you. 

Together with all those in our care, we the Salesians and our seminarians on bended knee thank God for you and pray that His Love, Peace, Joy and his abundant blessings be showered on you and your dear ones at home during this Christmas season and throughout the New Year 2019. You will be specially remembered and prayed for during all our services here in the Shrine.
