Dear Clients of Don Bosco’s Madonna,

 

It is with a grateful heart that I come to you in this Joyous Season of Easter, in the name of all our Salesian Fathers, students, orphans, the marginalized and the street children sheltered in our Don Bosco Homes and Institutions.

 

Thank you very much for all the support you have extended to us over the years. We gratefully pray for you and your intentions here in our Shrine. You and your intentions are always dear to us.

 

Your support  goes a long way to brighten up the lives of those in our care. Even though you may feel it is just a drop in the ocean, it is a ‘refreshing drop’ that helps our many works of charity and brings relief to the many who come knocking at our doors for help.

 

I am glad to inform you that on the 3^rd of January we blessed the new workshop constructed for the servicing of four wheelers, and a workshop to train wielders at Don Bosco Chinchwad - Pune. Thanks to generous benefactors like you we will be able to train many youngsters in these trades and as a result, they will be able to earn an honorable livelihood. We now turn to you again for support, as our next projects are on the anvil. The first is that of a workshop to train students to service two wheelers at the same institute, and the second is a project to train Primary School teachers at our institution at Dakor in Gujarat. These trained teachers will, in turn, help to educate our tribal youngsters in our various Catholic institutions. It is a service we have taken up for the Church in the Gujarat missions. The cost of setting up the workshops and the training college with hostels for ladies and gents is enormous. We entrust this project to your generous support. I am confident that together with you we can and will make things happen.

 

It was Mary Help of Christians who directed and encouraged Don Bosco in his service for poor children and she blesses and protects all those who help these children to grow. We pray that she protects and blesses you and your family for your compassion and caring for her other needy children.

 

Entrusting you and your family to the ‘unconditional love and care’ of the Risen Lord, I conclude wishing you and all your dear ones a Very Happy Easter.
