Dear Friends and Benefactors, Our new scholastic year is about a month old. All our activities are now is full swing. All our institutions around the region celebrated the feast of St. Dominic Savio on 6th of July. Actually the feast day is 6th May but since all our institutes are on vacation in the month of May and our youngsters would miss celebrating the life of this young saint – a model for youngsters, the feast is postponed. 6th July was solemnly celebrated with the inauguration of the School House systems and the investiture ceremonies of School and House Captains in our various institutions. We wish our youngsters a fruitful year ahead. It is with deep gratitude that we acknowledge your constant support. This year too we were able to assist a large number of students through scholarships that helped them to meet the expenses of their college fees. Several poor children were also able to purchase uniforms, books and their tuition fees which would help them begin their new scholastic year without any interruption. Thank you very much for helping us to carry out our works of mercy, both spiritual and material. We are sure the Lord in his kindness rewards your generosity. Permit me to place before you one of our projects for the coming year. It is our intention to upgrade our institute in Yerwada – Pune. At present we have a school and Junior college with the Arts and Science streams only. We have dream! We wish to introduce the Commerce stream, and other courses like Business administration, Computer Science and Computer Applications in one of our regular educational institutions and we have chosen Don Bosco Yerwada – Pune because the students they address are just the group that needs our help. This is going to cost a lot and so, in the name of the youngsters I appeal to you to lend us a helping hand to make this dream come true and in turn the new school will definitely help our youngsters realise they youthful dreams!
