through YOU!
If you are YOUNG AT HEART…He’s got a message for you!
From all eternity God has loved young people. Throughout the Bible his
spoke through young people. They were simple youngsters who were
generous enough to allow God to use them as His instruments. There was a
Moses, a David,
there was a Matthew, a Paul and a Peter...
In our times He used enlightened saints like Don Bosco to tell
youngsters that He still cares for them. Today God needs you to
encourage Youngsters...to tell them that God still loves them. They are
always precious to the Lord even
In their loneliness and depression,
In their pain and confusion,
In their delusions and frustrations.
They are precious to the Lord…and they need to know that!
Will you lend us a hand in this mammoth task?
 Will
you walk
the highways and the byways,
Will you trudge
the busy streets and
Brave the hustle and bustle
of crowded metros?
Will you fight the bright city lights?
The lure of punk and rock music?
You might even dare to go into
the hinterland where:
strange languages are spoken,
strange customs are observed,
strange rituals keep
them in bondage?
Even in these far off mission areas,
Youngsters need a friend,
They need someone who cares,
Who will console and encourage them
…so…
Will you look into their eyes
And encourage them?
Reach out your hand and help?
Assuring them of a brighter future?
Will you tell them
that God cares and loves them?
TODAY
 The
Sons of Don Bosco are present
wherever there are youngsters:
In schools and workshops,
in city streets and dingy hovels
on deserted highways
or in strange mission lands.
It is their joy to assist the wayward,
the orphans and the enslaved
the dropouts and the depressed.
And in all these endeavours they try to be eloquent signs of God’s
abiding presence
among the young.
Teaching the illiterate,
guiding the confused;
reviving the despondent
and encouraging the discouraged.
They are spurred on by the assurance that they are trying to make the
world a better place and our future a brighter one.
This is a very daunting task and any youngster would be apprehensive and
afraid. It is not a human calling and there are no human remunerations
that would compensate for a life of sacrifice lived out in love and
service.
YOUR HAND THAT HELPS
Ever since Don Bosco sent his sons to our Indian shores 100 years ago
down to the XXI Century we have relied on Divine Providence to help
youngsters. God’s abiding presence has always assured us that we would
never be left alone…there will always be some generous youngster who
would dare enough to answer God’s call knowing that its rewards are ‘out
of this world’.
Don Bosco’s work for the young will go on so long as there are youth and
so long as there is YOU.
 THE
HUMAN FACE OF PROVIDENCE
You are God’s generosity with a human face…and your assistance
strengthens the beautiful hands of a priest…or a brother to make God’s
love present here and now. Your prayer and thoughts, your love and
assistance have brought us thus far...
Will you walk with the young men who feel this call of the Lord? They
need to know that they are not alone...We are ever grateful for your
steadfast and generous assistance, dear benefactors!
Our work would never reach the young were it not for your unstinted
support.
GOD HAS BLESSED US IN 2006
This year 2006 the Lord of Love has gifted us four Salesians who will be
ordained priests. We are grateful and our joy is boundless. God still
loves Youth!
Will you continue to assist others like them on this adventure to love
God’s youth?
The harvest is vast…the youngsters are calling…and we look to you…to
assist us.
The Lord uses us in various and mysterious ways. He will use simple,
humble and ordinary instruments like YOU to tell YOUTH that He loves
them.
Thank you for being with us, for your encouragement and concern. Your
generosity will help many willing youngsters realize their dream. They
love youth and they are ready to use your hands and the your love to
love God’s Youth!
Will you help us in this task? You have been been with us and encouraged
us thus far. It has not been easy but we have gone ahead knowing that
God has spoken to your heart. We are grateful for your support and
encouragement. Thank you dear friend in the name of all the Salesian
Fathers and Brothers.

Prayer For Vocations
O Lord, never cease to send
to your Church, new priests and consecrated men and women, shepherds
after you own heart. We need your envoys. They are the instruments of
your grace and love. They console us in your name; they nourish our
hope, strengthen our faith, intensify our love. We need them, Lord ,
because we nee you, we need your love. Do not leave us on our own, Lord.
Send Laborers to the harvest of the world. Send fishers of men who will
gather us up in the nets of our mercy. With humility and trust we
implore you to send us shepherds after your own heart. The harvest is
great. The laborers are few. Lord send laborers to your harvest.
We ask
this through Christ Our Lord, AMEN
